FALL TERM BEGINS AUGUST 27TH.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN STARTING MUSIC LESSONS, PLEASE CONTACT ADMIN@WSSTE.COM

This school year will be a very special year This will be Edward Kreitman's last year as the Director of the Western Springs School of Talent Education and the Naperville Suzuki School. His retirement in June of 2024 is bittersweet. He has enjoyed the last 44 years tremendously, but he is also looking forward to a life filled with fewer activities. The schools will continue his legacy under the leadership of Patrick and Emily Connolly and with the support of our amazing Suzuki faculty.

To highlight his last year, we will be returning to Chicago’s Orchestra Hall at Symphony Center for our Celebration Concert! We have been presenting these special programs which include every student in the school and all of our alumni and their families since our 20th anniversary in the year 2001. Our 40th was meant to happen in 2021, but the pandemic had other plans. We are thrilled to finally be able to return to one of the most acoustically awesome and visually stunning concert halls in the world. Mark your calendars for Sunday, May 26th, 2024. Yes, this is Memorial Day weekend, so please consider altering any plans that you may typically have for the weekend so that your children can participate in what will be an event to remember for a lifetime. More details about this concert will be coming shortly.

All three of our performance ensembles, Cellissimo, Chicago Consort and Allegro!!! will be running a full schedule of events and presenting their work in full length concerts in the spring. In June 2024 the Chicago Consort will travel to South Africa with one of our largest groups we’ve ever taken on tour. Trips like this are “once in a lifetime” for many of the students, and help them to learn and understand about our world. Look for more info and pictures on our website.
