Dear Suzuki families and friends. I am delighted to welcome everyone back for our 38th year of Suzuki Music Instruction. We have many exciting programs planned for this year, and I would like to share with you a bit about them here.
First, I would like to introduce you to our new school administrator, Patrick Connolly. Patrick was a Suzuki Student who grew up in our school and continued his music education with a Bachelors Degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Masters in Violin Performance from Roosevelt University where he studied with my teacher, Almita Vamos.
I also want to introduce you to our new violin faculty member, Emily Mather. Emily also grew up in our program and continued her musical education at the University of Michigan and finished her Masters degree in Violin Performance with emphasis in Suzuki Pedagogy at the Cleveland Institute of Music where she studied violin with Joan Kwuon and Suzuki Pedagogy with Kimberly Meier-Sims.
We welcome both Patrick and Emily….and congratulate them on their recent engagement!
We want all of our families AND THEIR FRIENDS to know about our new Suzuki Early Childhood Education Program. Faculty members Vicki Szcepaniak and Maeve O’Hara have trained in the Suzuki Early Childhood Education course and are offering classes for children and parents from birth to age 5 at both the Naperville and Western Springs locations.
