Cellissimo is honored to have been asked to put together a Parents as Partners video for the SAA. Parents as Partners is an online collection of videos that feature talks by teachers, parents, current and former students on a variety of topics of interest to Suzuki parents.
In our video, students candidly answer the following questions with maturity and sensitivity.
1. What motivates you to practice? 2. How do you manage your time / prepare a lot of repertoire? 3. What kinds of things did your parents do when you were younger that you found helpful? 4. Now that you're practicing more independently, do you still occasionally turn to your parents for feedback? 5. When you feel pressured, where does it come from? 6. What impact does music have on the rest of your life?
The video can be seen by everyone who has a Parents as Partners subscription. If you would like access to the videos, you can register on the SAA website (www.suzukiassociation.org), or inquire whether your teacher has a studio subscription set up.
