Today, January 11, marks the start of our 100 Days Practice Challenge at the Naperville Suzuki School! Many of you participated in last year's challenge, which was such a great success, we decided to do it again!
Our number one goal in this challenge is to see how much we learn in 100 days in a row of practicing, and a wonderful benefit is building the habit of daily practice. Setting music-related goals with your teacher is very encouraged. Many of our students were surprised to see how quickly they passed their goals last year!
100 Days Practice Challenge Guidelines:
Students must practice 100 days in a row (consecutive) days. In other words, if you practice 10 days, then miss a day, you can't start back up at 11! The count gets reset. No worries if you need to restart, our 100 days party is more than 100 days away!
If you are sick, or on vacation, listening to your recording counts as practice for that day.
Number of minutes that counts as your practice and what you practice is, as always, determined by your private teacher.
Parents keep a tally at home of their practice, and email Miss Maeve at firstname.lastname@example.org during increments throughout the challenge:
7, 14, 21-- (every 7 days), then 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, and 100 days.
Stars will be posted within 2-4 days of parents sending the email.
Our 100 days celebration party will take place May 31, 2017 from 5:00-6:00 in the Naperville Group Class space.
Good luck to everyone deciding to participate, it will be so wonderful to see how much our students can accomplish!
